Great Buddah, Kamakura Venture out today to Kamakura to enjoy one of Japan's most popular sightseeing locations. This historic seaside city is only a 45 minute journey from JR Shinagawa Station on the JR Yokosuka Line train. As the former capital of Japan (from 1192 to 1333), Kamakura has many renowned Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines and numerous well-preserved historical treasures nestled among a peaceful wooded and rustic setting.
Dankazura (2 min. walk from the station) is a 100 metre long pedestrian approach, lined with cherry blossom trees, leading to the colourful Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The 850-tonne bronze Great Buddha, and the picturesque Enoshima Island all draw large numbers of visitors to Kamakura throughout the year.
Exploring on foot is the best way to enjoy Kamakura.
7:55 - 8:45 a.m. You will be picked up from your hotel to join a one day tour to Nikko. In the morning, travel to Nikko by motorcoach (160 min.) and visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine (100 min.).
Lunch Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch. After lunch, visit Tamozawa Imperial Villa (60 min.) and Kirifuri Falls (30 min.) before returning to Tokyo. Note: On Tuesdays and other days that the Tamozawa Imperial Villa is closed, Rinnoji Temple Treasure Hall (60 min.) and Shoyo-en Garden (30 min.) will be visited instead
7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
After returning to Tokyo by motorcoach (160 min.), the tour will disband in Ginza or Shinjuku. The guide will tell you how to return to your hotel.

7:20 - 8:00 a.m. You will be picked up from your hotel to join a tour to Hiroshima. Travel to Hiroshima from Kyoto Station by Nozomi (110 min.) or Hikari (125 min.) Shinkansen. After arriving in Hiroshima, visit Miyajima Island and Itsukushima Shrine (120 min.), Peace Memorial Park and Museum (100 min.), and the Atomic Bomb Dome.
6:30 - 7:00 p.m. Return to Kyoto by Nozomi or Hikari Shinkansen.
8:20 - 9:00 p.m.
Return to your hotel in Kyoto.
